Who is S.R.?
The author of the book, and the person who coined the word Twatverse, which we assume was not deliberate. S.R. does not claim to have worked it all out. That is rather the point of the book.
Is this a self-help book?
No. It won't teach you how to master life, it won't promise that everything happens for a reason, and it won't pretend the author has any of the answers. It is a survival guide in the sense that laughing at the whole bloody mess turns out to be one of the more useful survival mechanisms we have.
Is there a warmer, quieter bit?
Yes, and it sneaks up on you. Beneath the swearing, stupidity and chaos, this is also a book about getting older, dealing with people, and accepting that life rarely follows the plan. The rants are the front door. What's behind them is the reason people finish it.

No. The Wingle Universe is a comedy about institutions — a King, a Donkey, a goat called Keith and a red button nobody must press. Am I Ready For This Shit? points the same frustration somewhere much closer to home: your kitchen, your car, your inbox and your bins. Different author, different mess, same impulse to laugh at it.
